My post a few days ago expressing my dissatisfaction with the picture I use for my avatar has elicited a few responses. One stumbler told me not to worry about it, I look fine. Another Stumbler, a young woman who takes a far better picture than I ever will, said I have a very interesting face, even when serious. Only one Stumbler, xyzzyplugh, took the bull by the horns and did for me what I've not been able to do on my own, that is, smile for the camera.
 
While the smile on the right does look a little forced, I do have to admit that it's an improvement over the original.
It only took me a moment of looking that the New Me to realize that there was something strangely familiar. A few minutes on Google Images confirmed my fears.
xyzzyplugh was trying to turn me into Tom Green! I know Tom Green is popular, but personally, I can't stand him. His only redeeming quality is that he got to sleep with Drew Barrymore. I'm almost ten years older than Tom Green, but I think you can tell from the side-by-side comparison that I look better than he does.
Still, he got to sleep with Drew Barrymore. I guess looks aren't everything.
